Car
From Smith Rock State Park, head east on Smith Rock Way towards US-97 N. Merge onto US-97 N and continue for about 14 miles. Take exit 135 for OR-126 E toward Prineville. Continue on OR-126 E for approximately 30 miles until you reach McKenzie Bridge. Turn right onto McKenzie River Drive. After a short drive, you will see signs for Sahalie Falls Viewpoint. There is no entrance fee to the viewpoint itself, but be mindful of any parking fees that may apply.
Public Transportation
To reach Sahalie Falls Viewpoint via public transportation, you will first need to take a bus from Smith Rock State Park to Redmond. From Redmond, take the Central Oregon Breeze bus service to Eugene. Once in Eugene, transfer to a bus heading towards McKenzie Bridge. You will need to check the current bus schedules as they may vary. After arriving at McKenzie Bridge, you can either walk or take a taxi to reach Sahalie Falls Viewpoint. Be sure to check for any fare costs associated with the bus services.
