Getting There

• Public Bus

  From The Dalles, head to the nearest bus stop on East 3rd Street. Take the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) bus towards Hood River. Once at the Hood River Transit Center, transfer to the Mount Hood Express bus. This bus will take you towards Mt. Hood National Forest. Get off at the Cloud Cap Road stop. From there, follow signs leading to Cooper Spur Trail via Tilly Jane, which will be a short walk from the bus stop.

• Bicycle

  Start at The Dalles Riverfront Trail. Head east along the river, following the trail until you reach the intersection with the Old Columbia River Highway. Turn left onto the highway and continue to follow it. Once you reach the junction for OR-35, turn right onto OR-35 heading towards Mt. Hood. Follow the signs for Cloud Cap Road. The ride will take you through beautiful scenery, and once you arrive at Cloud Cap Road, you can park your bike and walk to Cooper Spur Trail via Tilly Jane.

• Walking

  If you are starting in The Dalles, head towards the Columbia River at the Riverfront Park. Walk along the riverfront until you reach the intersection with East 3rd Street. Turn right and follow East 3rd Street until you reach the bus station. From there, you can catch the Columbia Area Transit bus to Hood River, and transfer to the Mount Hood Express bus that will take you to the Cloud Cap Road stop, from which you will walk to Cooper Spur Trail via Tilly Jane.
