Getting There

• Walking

  Start at The Dalles City Center. Head east on E 2nd St toward Union St. Continue straight onto E 3rd St and cross the Columbia River on the Highway 197 Bridge. Once across the bridge, follow the signs for I-84 East. After crossing, take the I-84 East exit. Walk along the scenic Historic Columbia River Highway (HCRH) trail. You will pass several viewpoints with stunning views. Continue on the path until you reach Shepperd's Dell Falls, located at East Historic Columbia River, Corbett, OR 97019. The falls will be on your right side along the trail.

• Biking

  Rent a bike from one of the rental shops in The Dalles. Start at the city center and head east on E 2nd St toward Union St. Continue onto E 3rd St and cross the Columbia River via the Highway 197 Bridge. Once across, follow the signs for I-84 East. You can bike along the Historic Columbia River Highway (HCRH) trail, which is suitable for cyclists. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Shepperd's Dell Falls. The falls will be easily visible on your right while biking along the trail.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  Check the local bus schedule and take a bus from The Dalles to the nearest stop to I-84 East. You may need to transfer at a connection point. Once you’re near I-84, you can walk along the Historic Columbia River Highway (HCRH) trail towards Shepperd's Dell Falls. Follow the signs, and the falls will be on your right side along the way.
