If you're driving to Shepperd's Dell State Natural Area, start by heading east on Interstate 84 from Portland. Take Exit 22 toward Corbett and merge onto E Historic Columbia River Hwy. Continue along the scenic highway for about 3 miles. Look for the entrance to Shepperd's Dell State Natural Area on your left. There is a parking area where you can leave your car.

To reach Shepperd's Dell State Natural Area using public transportation, take the Columbia Gorge Express from Portland. The bus will take you along the Historic Columbia River Highway. Get off at the stop at Corbett, which is the nearest stop to the natural area. From there, you can either walk approximately 1 mile east along E Historic Columbia River Hwy to reach the park entrance or call a local taxi service to take you directly to Shepperd's Dell.
