Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, head towards the town of Terrebonne, which is located north of Redmond. From Terrebonne, take the Smith Rock State Park Road (also known as NW Smith Rock Way) directly to the park entrance. The park is located about 3 miles from the town center. Once you arrive, there is a parking fee of $5 per vehicle, which can be paid at the entrance.

• Public Transportation

  While there are no direct public transportation routes to Smith Rock State Park, you can take a bus to Redmond from various locations in Wasco County. Once in Redmond, you would need to use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to reach the park, which is approximately 20-30 minutes away by car. Please check local bus schedules for routes and times, as they may vary.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, there are bike-friendly routes from nearby towns. If you are staying in Terrebonne, you can take the 7-mile route along Smith Rock Way, which provides scenic views of the area. Be sure to wear a helmet and carry plenty of water. Note that the park also has bike racks available for visitors.

• Walking

  If you are already in Terrebonne and up for a hike, you can walk the approximately 3 miles to Smith Rock State Park. This route is along Smith Rock Way, which has a shoulder for pedestrians. Be cautious of traffic and plan for about an hour of walking time. Ensure you have water and wear comfortable shoes.
