If you are in the center of Gilgit city, start at the Gilgit River and head towards the main market area. From the market, walk towards Shahr-e-Quaid-e-Azam street. Continue straight, passing by various shops and local eateries. Keep an eye out for the Ibex PSO Petrol Station, which is a key landmark. Bab-e-Gilgit is located just near this petrol station at the address V9RC+342, Sakwar. The walk should take around 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace.
Public Transport (Rickshaw)
You can take a local rickshaw from any point in Gilgit. Just ask the driver to take you to Bab-e-Gilgit or near the Ibex PSO Petrol Station on Shahr-e-Quaid-e-Azam street. The fare is usually quite affordable, typically around 100-200 PKR, depending on distance. The rickshaw will drop you off very close to your destination.

For a more adventurous option, consider renting a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Gilgit. Once you have your bike, head towards Shahr-e-Quaid-e-Azam street. Follow this road straight until you see the Ibex PSO Petrol Station on your left. Bab-e-Gilgit is nearby, and cycling there will give you some fresh air and beautiful views. The ride should take about 15 minutes.
