From the center of Gilgit, head towards the Main Bazaar. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with the Gilgit River on your right. Cross the river using the pedestrian bridge. Once across, continue straight along the riverside pathway until you reach the junction where you can see the sign for Skardu. This route will lead you to the Skardu road. Follow this road for approximately 2.5 kilometers until you reach the bus station for Skardu. Here, you can take a local bus or shared taxi to Skardu.
