From the fort, walk down towards the bazaar and take the road leading out towards Jutial. Look for signs or ask locals for directions to Jutial. The walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes. As you walk, you will enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains and local life.
Trekking
If you're adventurous, after reaching Jutial, you can take a short trek towards the Rakaposhi view point. Follow the trail that leads up from Jutial. It may take around 1-2 hours to reach the viewpoint depending on your pace. Ensure you have decent trekking shoes and are hydrated. If you prefer public transport, head to the local bus station in Gilgit. Look for a bus or 'hiace' (a shared van) heading towards Jutial. The journey should take about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in Jutial, you will likely need to ask for further directions to the Rakaposhi view point, as it may not be well-marked. Locals are generally very helpful.
