    If you are traveling by car, you can take the KKH (Karakoram Highway) towards Hunza Valley. From the KKH, take the turnoff towards Altit. Drive approximately 15 km from Karimabad to reach Altit Fort. There is a parking area near the fort where you can leave your car.

    To reach Altit Fort via public transport, find a local bus heading towards Hunza from Gilgit. The journey takes around 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Karimabad, you can take a local taxi or rickshaw to Altit Fort, which is about 3 km away. The taxi fare should be around 300-500 PKR.

  • Walking

    If you are already in the vicinity of Karimabad, you can walk to Altit Fort. The walk from Karimabad to Altit Fort is about 3 km and takes approximately 30-45 minutes. The path is well-marked and offers beautiful views of the Hunza Valley.
