From K2 Base Camp, begin your journey by heading south towards the nearest road. The route is primarily through rugged terrain, so ensure your vehicle is suited for off-road conditions. Drive towards Skardu, which is about 40 km away, and follow the signs directing you towards Kuragh. You will need to pass the PSO K-2 filling station; Kuragh is located nearby at the coordinates VGH8+X2X. The journey may take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on road and weather conditions.

If you opt for public transportation, you can catch a jeep from K2 Base Camp to Skardu. The jeep ride will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you reach Skardu, look for local transport options such as shared taxis or buses heading towards Kuragh. The fare for the jeep ride to Skardu is typically around PKR 1500-2000. From Skardu to Kuragh, expect to pay an additional fare of around PKR 500-1000 for the shared taxi.
