    Getting There

    Car

    If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Kashmir. Head northeast on the Neelum Valley Road (N-1). Continue on this road for approximately 70 kilometers until you reach the town of Sharda. From Sharda, take the road leading to Kel. Drive for about 15 kilometers until you arrive at the Shounter Valley turnoff. Follow this road for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the Shounter Waterfall. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rugged terrain, as some sections of the road may be rough.

    Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take a bus from Muzaffarabad to Sharda. Buses run frequently and the journey takes about 2-3 hours, costing around 200-300 PKR per person. Upon arriving in Sharda, you can hire a local jeep to take you to Shounter Waterfall. The jeep ride will cost approximately 1000-1500 PKR, and it takes about 30-45 minutes to reach the waterfall from Sharda. Be sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.

    Hiking

    If you are feeling adventurous and prefer hiking, you can trek from Sharda to Shounter Waterfall. This hike is roughly 10 kilometers and can take around 3-4 hours.
