Getting There

  For those opting for public transportation, you can catch a bus from Muzaffarabad to Sharda. The bus fare is approximately 300 PKR per person. Buses leave regularly from the main bus terminal in Muzaffarabad and the journey takes about 2 to 3 hours. Once in Sharda, local transport options such as taxis or rickshaws are available to take you to various spots within Neelum Valley.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct method, hiring a taxi from Muzaffarabad to Neelum Valley is a good option. The cost typically ranges from 2,000 to 3,500 PKR depending on your negotiation skills and the destination within Neelum Valley. Make sure to agree on the fare beforehand. This option provides flexibility in terms of stopping at various scenic points along the way.

• Local Transport

  Once you are in Neelum Valley, local transport options include hiring a jeep for rugged terrains or using local rickshaws for short distances. Jeep rentals can cost around 2,000 to 4,000 PKR for half a day depending on the distance and destination.
