Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car, you can start your journey from Gilgit. Drive towards Hunza, which is approximately 100 kilometers away. The road is well-maintained, but be cautious of the mountainous terrain. Once you reach the town of Karimabad in Hunza, continue towards Ghulkin. From Karimabad, take the road towards Passu and Ghulkin. Borith Lake is located about 15 kilometers from Ghulkin. The last stretch to the lake involves a dirt road; a vehicle with good ground clearance is advisable.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, take a bus or a shared jeep from Gilgit to Karimabad. The fare is around PKR 300-500. Once in Karimabad, you can hire a local jeep to take you to Borith Lake. The jeep ride costs approximately PKR 2000-3000 and takes about 30-45 minutes. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand, as prices can vary.

Hiking

For adventurous travelers, another option is to hike to Borith Lake from Ghulkin. The hike is around 5-6 kilometers and can take about 2-3 hours. Make sure to wear suitable hiking shoes and carry enough water. The trail offers stunning views of the surrounding landscapes.
