Car
If you are traveling by car, you can start your journey from Gilgit, which is approximately 100 km away from Zero Point in Shahbad, Hunza Nagar. Take the Karakoram Highway (N-35) towards Hunza. After about 25 km, you will reach the town of Karimabad. Continue on the highway for another 25 km until you reach the turn-off for Shahbad. Follow the signs towards Shahbad, and you will find Zero Point approximately 20 km from the main road. The drive is scenic, but be cautious of road conditions, especially in the winter months. Parking is available near the attraction.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a van or a bus from Gilgit to Hunza. The fare is generally around PKR 300 to PKR 500 per person. Once you reach Karimabad, you can hire a local jeep or taxi to take you to Shahbad. The jeep ride will cost around PKR 1000 to PKR 1500 depending on your negotiation skills and the number of passengers. The journey from Karimabad to Shahbad takes about 30-40 minutes. Ensure you confirm the drop-off point near Zero Point.
Walking
If you are already in Shahbad and wish to explore the area, Zero Point is accessible by foot. From the main market area of Shahbad, you can follow the local trails that lead towards Zero Point. It is approximately a 30-minute walk, and the trail is well-marked. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the terrain can be steep in certain areas.
