Getting There

  • Car

    If you are starting from Gilgit, head north on the Karakoram Highway (N-35). Continue for approximately 90 kilometers until you reach the junction for Hunza. Turn left onto the road leading to Hunza Valley. After about 30 kilometers, you will arrive at Karimabad. From Karimabad, follow the signs towards Ganish and continue on the road for about 10 kilometers until you reach Shahbad. Zero Point is located a short distance from Shahbad, and it is recommended to use a 4x4 vehicle as the road can be gravelly and rocky.

    From Gilgit, you can take a bus or a shared van heading towards Hunza. The journey will take approximately 2-3 hours. Ask the driver to drop you off at Karimabad. From Karimabad, you can either hire a local taxi or a 4x4 vehicle to take you to Shahbad. This last leg of the journey will take about 30 minutes.
