Getting There

Walking
Begin your journey at the Skardu city center, near the Skardu Bus Station. From here, walk towards the main road (Skardu to Khaplu Road). Continue straight for approximately 1 km until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the Skardu to Khaplu road (also known as the Airport Road). As you walk along this road, enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. After about 4 km, you will see a sign for Chumik Bridge on your right. Follow the path leading towards the bridge, which is around 1.5 km from the main road. The path may be rocky, so be cautious. Eventually, you will reach Chumik Bridge, marked by its scenic backdrop.

For an adventurous route, start at Skardu and take a trekking path towards the Chumik Farol Desert area. This trek is approximately 6 km long and will take you through stunning landscapes. Head east from Skardu and follow the trail marked by local guides. Make sure to carry plenty of water and snacks, as this route does not have many stops.
