Getting There

    If you are starting from the central area of Chitre, head east on Avenida 8 de Noviembre. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle 6a Este. Turn left onto Calle 6a Este. Continue walking for about 10 minutes and you will see Independence Square on your right, marked by its park-like setting and surrounded by colonial buildings.
