Getting There

• Public Bus

  From your location in Colón, head to the nearest bus stop. Look for a bus heading towards the Agua Clara Locks or any bus that goes to the Colon Free Zone (Zona Libre). Buses are frequent and typically cost around 0.25 USD. Inform the bus driver of your destination. Once you reach the Agua Clara area, you will see signs directing you to the Visitor Center. Follow the signs for about a 10-minute walk to reach the Agua Clara Locks Visitor Center.

• Taxi

  Find a taxi in Colón, which can be hailed on the street or found at designated taxi stands. Tell the driver you want to go to the Agua Clara Locks Visitor Center (Centro de Visitantes de Agua Clara). It’s a short ride, approximately 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure that the taxi driver uses the meter or agrees on a fare before starting your journey. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off right at the entrance of the Visitor Center.

• Walking

  If you are staying close to the waterfront in Colón, you can walk towards the Agua Clara Locks Visitor Center. Start by heading south towards Avenida Bolívar, then turn left onto Calle 16. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida de los Mártires. Turn right, and keep walking straight for about 3 km. You’ll see signs for the Agua Clara Locks along the way. Follow these signs until you reach the Visitor Center.
