Car
If you are driving from Panama City, head east on the Pan-American Highway (Interamericana) towards Guna Yala. The journey takes approximately 2-3 hours depending on traffic. Follow the signs for 'Guna Yala' and take the exit towards 'Cerro Azul'. Continue on the main road until you reach the entrance to the Guna Yala region, where you need to pay a small toll (approximately $5) to enter. Once you enter Guna Yala, follow the signs to your specific destination. Keep in mind that road conditions may vary, and some areas may require a 4x4 vehicle.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Panama City, take a bus from the Terminal de Transporte de Albrook to Guna Yala. Buses leave regularly throughout the day and the fare is around $5-10. The journey lasts approximately 3-4 hours. Once you arrive at the Guna Yala terminal, you may need to hire a local taxi or take a shared taxi (known as a 'colectivo') to reach Casa Góngora. Be sure to confirm the fare with the driver before departing.
Boat
Once you have reached Guna Yala by car or bus, you may need to take a boat to reach Casa Góngora if it is situated on an island. Look for local boat services at the nearest dock, and the fare can range from $10 to $25 depending on the distance to your destination. Confirm the schedule and availability of boats before making your plans, as they may not operate after sunset.
