Rick met us in plaza Herrera, and after exchanging pleasantries offered us a comprehensive historical analysis of the area. The tour was really chilled at a good pace where Rick - very knowledgeable and readily answered our many questions. A definite must do in casco viejo, Rick was generous enough to give us good tips which has been beneficial while out here in Panama city. Meandering through the old historical town, we had the opportunity to see how the best speciality coffee (geisha) is made, the amazing museo de la mola (a definite must see), local craft market and many more. You will not be be disappointed and Rick, is certainly worth every cent in gold.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable hiking experience with breathtaking, panoramic views, this tour is absolutely the one to choose. We hiked both La India Dormida and Cerro La Silla, and it turned out to be one of the most incredible days we’ve had outdoors. La India Dormida offers a moderate level of difficulty, so come prepared for a bit of a challenge—it’s definitely a workout. But every step is worth it. The trail takes you through beautiful landscapes, and as you climb higher, the views become more and more spectacular. Reaching the top feels incredibly rewarding. The sweeping vistas, fresh air, and sense of accomplishment make the effort completely worthwhile. Cerro La Silla adds even more variety and stunning scenery to the experience, making the entire day feel like an adventure from start to finish. Highly recommend this hike to anyone who enjoys nature, a bit of a challenge, and views that will stay with you long after the hike is over.

Private Historical Walking Tour through the Old Town

Interesting walk at a slow pace.

We did this as part of our cruise on the Emerald Princess. The coach picked us up at the port. A guide (Violet) explained the history of the area and the town extremely well.We were dropped off near a park then walked up some stairs to the old town. WE saw St Joseph's Cathedral including a gold painted altar. Paid another $1 to use toilet. She pointed out several old buildings including ruins of another church. People get married amongst the ruins for photos.Walked to a town square and heard bells at town hall ring. I also met Miss Panama as I was dragging behind the tour, and she came out of a building with photographers. We waited in heat in town square until bus returned us to the ship.
