Walking
From the Plaza de Francia, head east on Avenida Central for about 5 minutes. You will pass several shops and cafes on your left. When you reach the intersection with Calle 6a Este, turn right. Continue straight for about 200 meters, and you will see Independence Square on your left. It is a popular gathering spot and often has local vendors.

Walking from the Cathedral
If you are near the Metropolitan Cathedral, exit the cathedral and head south towards Avenida Central. Turn left onto Avenida Central and walk east for approximately 7 minutes until you reach Calle 6a Este. Turn right onto Calle 6a Este, and you will find Independence Square a short distance ahead on your left.
