Car
From the Pearl Islands, take a boat or ferry back to the mainland at the Pier in Contadora Island. Once you arrive at the mainland, you will need to drive to the Panama Canal. Head northwest on the main road towards Panama City. The drive will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Follow the signs for 'Panama Canal' as you approach the city. As you get closer, you will need to enter the city and navigate through the streets until you reach the Miraflores Locks, which is a popular visitor center for the Panama Canal.
Public Transportation
To reach the Panama Canal from the Pearl Islands, first take a ferry from Contadora Island back to the mainland. Once on the mainland, you can catch a bus from the bus terminal in Panama City that heads toward the Miraflores Locks. The bus ride will cost around $1-2 and takes approximately 30-45 minutes. Make sure to tell the bus driver your destination so they can drop you off at the correct stop. Once you arrive at the Miraflores Locks, you can explore the visitor center and enjoy the views of the canal.
