Walking
Starting from the main square in Portobelo, head east along Avenida Central. Continue walking for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Calle 1. Turn left onto Calle 1 and walk straight for another 500 meters until you reach the waterfront. From there, you will see a sign pointing towards Castillo de San Lorenzo. Follow the path along the coast for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you arrive at the entrance of the Castillo de San Lorenzo.

Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start at the main square in Portobelo. Head east along Avenida Central, cycling for about 1 kilometer until you reach Calle 1. Turn left onto Calle 1 and continue cycling straight for another 500 meters to the waterfront. Once at the waterfront, look for the signs directing you to Castillo de San Lorenzo. The path along the coast is suitable for cycling; it’s approximately a 1.5-kilometer ride to the castle.

If you prefer a more scenic route, you can take a taxi boat from Portobelo Bay. Head to the dock located at the waterfront near the main square and look for taxi boats that offer rides to Castillo de San Lorenzo.
