If you're already in Portobelo, start at the Portobelo Church, which is centrally located. Head east along the main road (Calle 4) towards the main highway. Once you reach the highway, turn left and walk about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the bus stop. From there, catch a bus heading to Panama City. Make sure to tell the driver you want to get off at Cerro Azul. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour.

From the center of Portobelo, walk to the main square where you can find the bus terminal. Look for a bus going to Panama City. The fare is very affordable, usually around $3. After about an hour, you'll arrive in Panama City. Once there, transfer to a bus going to Cerro Azul, which is clearly marked. The journey will take around 30-40 minutes.
