Walking
If you are starting from the center of Portobelo, head southeast on Calle 1. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida Central. Turn right onto Avenida Central. Keep walking until you see the sign for Parque Nacional Chagres on your left. The entrance is a short walk from the main road.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Portobelo. Start from the Plaza de la Independencia and head east on Calle 1. Turn right onto Avenida Central and continue until you see the entrance to Parque Nacional Chagres on your left. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes.
Local Bus
From the main bus terminal in Portobelo, take a local bus heading towards Quebrada Candelaria. Inform the driver that you are going to Parque Nacional Chagres. The ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you reach the entrance, you can walk a short distance to the park.
