Getting There

    Start from the main square in Portobelo, known as Plaza de Portobelo. Head southeast on Calle 1 toward the coastline. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront promenade. From there, you can follow the coastal road (Calle 1) that heads toward the east. Keep an eye out for signs pointing toward the Santiago Battery. After about 10-15 minutes of walking, you will see the entrance to the Santiago Battery on your left, marked by a small sign.

    From the main square in Portobelo, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Calle 1. Look for a bus heading toward the Santiago Battery area. Inform the driver of your destination and pay the fare (usually around 0.25-0.50 USD). The ride will take approximately 5-10 minutes. Get off at the nearest stop to the Santiago Battery, which you can identify by asking the driver or other passengers.
