Walking from Volcan Town
Start in the center of Volcan, near the main square. Head south on Avenida 1 until you reach the intersection with Calle 4. Turn left onto Calle 4 and continue walking until you reach the main road, the Pan-American Highway. Cross the highway carefully and continue south. As you walk, you will notice signs pointing towards 'Piedras Pintadas' or 'Caldera'. Follow these signs until you arrive at the entrance to the site. The walk should take about 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on your pace.

From Volcan, head to the bus stop located near the main square. Look for a bus heading towards Caldera. The fare is usually inexpensive, so have some coins ready. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the 'Piedras Pintadas' stop. The bus ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive, follow the path indicated by signs to reach the petroglifos. Be sure to check the bus schedule for the return trip.
