Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Volcan, head south on Calle Principal, walking towards the main road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Pan-American Highway (Carretera Panamericana). Cross the highway carefully and continue walking south on the same road. After approximately 5 kilometers, you will reach the town of Bajo Boquete. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to El Castillo. Once you arrive in Bajo Boquete, continue to follow the signs for El Castillo, which is located on Calle Principal El Santuario. The castle will be on your right side.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From the main bus terminal in Volcan, take a bus heading towards David. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Bajo Boquete. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Bajo Boquete, look for a local taxi or ask for directions to Calle Principal El Santuario. Alternatively, you can walk towards the main street and follow the signs to El Castillo which is located on Calle Principal El Santuario. The castle is approximately 1-2 kilometers from the bus stop.
