From the central park in Volcan, head south on Avenida 1ra until you reach the intersection with Calle 1ra. Turn left onto Calle 1ra and continue walking until you reach the bus terminal, which is on your right. At the terminal, look for a bus heading towards Los Naranjos. The bus ride should take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the stop for Los Naranjos, disembark and ask locals for directions to Sendero Los Quetzales, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the path heading north, and you will see signs leading you to the trail entrance.

Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Volcan. Start at the central park and head south on Avenida 1ra. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle 1ra, then turn left. Follow Calle 1ra to the bus terminal, where you can ask for directions to Los Naranjos. Cycle towards Los Naranjos, keeping an eye out for signs that lead to Sendero Los Quetzales. The bike ride will take approximately 25-35 minutes, and from the main road, there are signs that will guide you to the trail.
