Getting There

    Start from the Mount Hagen Market located in the center of Mount Hagen city. Head east on the main road (Kumul Highway) for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the West New Britain Highway. Continue straight for another 2 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Kanamanda. From here, ask locals for directions to Ippe Waterfall as it is not well marked but is known in the area. Follow the path they suggest, which usually involves a short trek up the hillside. Be prepared for some steep areas and ensure you have proper hiking shoes.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Mount Hagen. Start at the Mount Hagen Market and ride east on Kumul Highway for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Turn right at the junction with West New Britain Highway and continue for about 2 kilometers. You will notice signs for Kanamanda. Park your bicycle at a safe location near the entrance to Kanamanda.
