If you're traveling by car, start in the nearest major city, such as Asunción. Take Route 3 heading northeast until you reach the junction with Route 9. Continue on Route 9 until you reach the town of Borja. From Borja, follow the signs to Isla Yvate, which is approximately 5 kilometers away. The entrance to Salto Cristal will be on your right. Please note that you may need to pay a small entrance fee to access the waterfall area.

For those relying on public transport, head to the main bus terminal in Asunción and catch a bus heading to Borja. Buses run frequently, and the journey takes about 4 hours. Once you arrive in Borja, you can hire a local taxi or use a motorcycle taxi to reach Salto Cristal, which is about 5 kilometers from the bus station. Ensure you negotiate the fare before starting the ride. It's advisable to visit in the morning as the site opens at 7:00 AM.
