Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving within Ybycui National Park, start from the main entrance of the park, which is located on the road between the towns of Ybycui and La Colmena. Once you have entered the park, follow the main road until you reach the sign for Cascada Guaraní. This is approximately 12 kilometers from the entrance. The last part of the road may be unpaved and bumpy, so drive cautiously. Upon arrival, there is parking available near the waterfall.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Cascada Guaraní using public transportation, take a bus from Asunción to Ybycui. The buses typically leave from the main bus terminal. Once you arrive at the Ybycui bus terminal, you will need to hire a local taxi or motorcycle taxi to take you to the entrance of Ybycui National Park. The cost for the taxi ride is approximately 20,000 to 30,000 PYG depending on your negotiation skills. After arriving at the park entrance, follow the main road to the sign for Cascada Guaraní, which is about 12 kilometers further inside the park. Please be aware that the last part of the road may not be suitable for larger vehicles, so some taxis may drop you off a bit earlier.

    If you are up for a hiking adventure, you can reach Cascada Guaraní by trekking from the main park trails. Begin at the park entrance and follow the marked trails.
