Car
If you're driving, start from Asunción, the capital of Paraguay. Take Route 1 (Ruta Transchaco) heading towards the west. After approximately 30 kilometers, take Route 2 (Ruta 2) towards Areguá. Continue for about 20 kilometers until you reach Areguá. Once in Areguá, follow the signs for Ruta Aregua. Cerro Kõi is located on this road. Look out for parking areas near the entrance to the park.
Public Transportation
To reach Cerro Kõi via public transport, take a bus from Asunción to Areguá. The bus terminal in Asunción is located at the Terminal de Ómnibus de Asunción. Buses to Areguá are frequent and the fare is around 10,000 PYG (Paraguayan Guaraní). The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Areguá, you can take a taxi or walk to Ruta Aregua where Cerro Kõi is located. Taxis are readily available and the fare should be around 20,000 PYG.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Asunción to Cerro Kõi. This option is more expensive, costing around 150,000 to 200,000 PYG, depending on negotiation. The taxi will take you directly to the entrance of the park, making it a convenient option if you're traveling with a group or have heavy luggage.
