Walking
Start from the main square in Hernandarias, Plaza José Asunción Flores. Head south on Avenida José Asunción Flores for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Calle 1 de Marzo. Turn left onto Calle 1 de Marzo and continue for approximately 1 kilometer, passing local shops and cafes. You will see signs pointing towards the river. As you approach the river, continue straight until you reach a small park area near the water. From there, follow the path along the riverbank towards Bahía de Hernandarias, which is located at coordinates J93G+PVP. The walk should take about 20-30 minutes.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops near Plaza José Asunción Flores. After securing your bike, head south on Avenida José Asunción Flores for about 600 meters. At the intersection with Calle 1 de Marzo, turn left and continue for approximately 1 kilometer. The route is mostly flat and scenic, making it an enjoyable ride. When you get closer to the river, follow the bike-friendly paths that lead you directly to Bahía de Hernandarias, located at J93G+PVP. The total biking distance is around 1.6 kilometers, and it should take you about 10-15 minutes.
Public Transport
To reach Bahía de Hernandarias using public transport, locate the nearest bus stop along Avenida José Asunción Flores. Take a bus that heads towards the river area, which is typically marked with signs indicating 'Río' or 'Bahía'. Ask the driver to drop you off at the stop closest to the river. From there, you can walk approximately 500 meters along the riverbank paths to reach Bahía de Hernandarias at J93G+PVP. The entire journey may take about 30-45 minutes, including waiting time for the bus.
