If you're traveling by car from Pantanal, you will want to head towards Areguá. Start by getting onto Route 2 (Ruta 2). Continue on Route 2 for approximately 30 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Areguá. Once you reach Areguá, follow the signs toward the town center. Playa De Aregua is located at Areguá 8000, which is near the waterfront. Make sure to check for parking options as they may vary based on the time of day.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, you can take a bus from Asunción to Areguá. Buses leave regularly from the main bus terminal in Asunción. The trip takes about 1 to 1.5 hours, and tickets cost around 5,000 to 10,000 PYG (Paraguayan Guarani). Once you arrive in Areguá, walk towards the waterfront area; Playa De Aregua is located at Areguá 8000. Follow the signs leading to the park area along the lake.
