From downtown Allentown, head to the nearest bus stop. You can catch the LANTA bus route 325 towards Jim Thorpe. Make sure to check the schedule for departure times. Stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes until you reach the Jim Thorpe stop. Once you arrive in Jim Thorpe, disembark at the stop near the train station. From there, walk towards the Lentz Trail by following the signs to Mauch Chunk Lake Park. It is about a 20-minute walk (approximately 1 mile) from the station to the park entrance.

Take a train from Allentown to the Jim Thorpe station. Check the schedule for service times. After arriving at the Jim Thorpe train station, exit and head towards the main road. You will want to walk north on Broadway Ave, then turn right onto E. 10th St. Follow E. 10th St. until you reach Lentz Trail. Mauch Chunk Lake Park will be on your left. The total walking distance from the train station to the park is about 1 mile and should take around 20 minutes.

If you are already in Jim Thorpe, you can walk to Mauch Chunk Lake Park directly. Start from the center of Jim Thorpe, head towards the clock tower and go south on Broadway Ave. Continue walking until you reach E. 10th St. and take a left. Follow E. 10th St. to Lentz Trail. Mauch Chunk Lake Park is located at 625 Lentz Trail and is approximately a 20-25 minute walk (1 mile) from the center of town.
