Car
If you're traveling by car, you can start from any central point in Lehigh Valley. A common starting point is Allentown. Head north on I-476 N (Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike) for approximately 20 miles. Take exit 74 for PA-93 toward Weatherly. After exiting, turn left onto PA-93 N and continue for about 4 miles. Then, turn right onto D & L Trail, where you will find Luke's Falls located along the trail. Parking is available near the trailhead.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Allentown to Hazleton, which is serviced by various local transit companies. Upon arrival in Hazleton, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to reach the D & L Trail. The taxi ride should take about 15 minutes and cost approximately $15-20. Once at the D & L Trail, head towards the area marked for Luke's Falls.
Biking
If you're feeling adventurous and are in good physical condition, consider biking to Luke's Falls. You can rent a bike from local bike shops in Allentown or Easton. Follow the D & L Trail north from either city. The trail is well-maintained and offers scenic views along the Lehigh River. Note that the ride could take anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your speed. Ensure you have a bike lock to secure your bike while you explore the falls.
