Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey from Boone, NC. Head southeast on US-421 S for about 10 miles. Merge onto NC-194 S and continue for approximately 8 miles until you reach the intersection with NC-88 E. Turn left onto NC-88 E and follow it for about 7 miles. You will then see the signs for Mt Jefferson State Natural Area. Follow the signs to the parking area. The parking lot may have a small fee, typically around $5 for the day.
