If you are driving from the center of Delaware Valley, head north on Route 611 until you reach Interstate 80. Merge onto I-80 W and continue for approximately 30 miles. Take the exit for I-476 N, the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Continue on I-476 N for about 20 miles, then take exit 1 for Scranton. Follow the signs for Route 6 E and merge onto it. Continue on Route 6 E, then take the exit for Route 11 N towards Scranton. Follow Route 11 N and then take a left onto Bald Mountain Rd. The Lackawanna Coal Mine Tour will be on your left. Expect to pay tolls on the Pennsylvania Turnpike while using I-476.
