Walking
From downtown Erie, head east on State Street towards the waterfront. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with East 2nd Street. Turn left onto East 2nd Street and follow it as it curves into the Bayfront Parkway. Keep walking until you reach the trailhead for the Bayfront Connector Trail on your left. Follow the trail along the waterfront for approximately 1 mile until you see signs for Kite Beach. The beach is located just off the trail.
Biking
If you have access to a bike, start from the Erie Maritime Museum located at 150 East Front Street. Head east along the Bayfront Connector Trail. Stay on the trail as it leads you along the shores of Lake Erie. After about 1 mile, keep an eye out for signs indicating Kite Beach. The beach will be accessible from the trail, providing a scenic route to your destination.
Public Transport
Take the Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority (EMTA) bus from downtown Erie. Board the Route 1 bus towards East Erie. Get off at the stop near the Bayfront Parkway. From there, walk east along the Bayfront Connector Trail for about 0.5 miles until you reach Kite Beach. The bus schedule can be checked online or at the bus station for exact times.
