Public Transit
From downtown Erie, head to the Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority (EMTA) bus stop. Take the EMTA Route 7 bus towards 'Presque Isle State Park.' The bus will take you directly to the entrance of Presque Isle State Park. Once you arrive at the park entrance, proceed to the Visitor Center to obtain a map and additional information. From the Visitor Center, follow the marked trails and signs towards the Presque Isle Lighthouse, which is approximately a 30-minute walk along the scenic paths.
Biking
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in downtown Erie. Head towards the Presque Isle State Park by following the bike paths along Peninsula Drive. The park is approximately 5 miles from downtown. Once inside the park, use the bike paths to navigate towards the Presque Isle Lighthouse, which is located near the beach area. The ride should take around 20-30 minutes, depending on your speed.
Walking
If you are up for a walk and staying nearby, you can walk to Presque Isle State Park. Start at the entrance of the park located at 301 Peninsula Dr. Follow the path that leads into the park and keep an eye out for directional signs pointing towards the lighthouse. The walk from the entrance to the lighthouse is roughly 1.5 miles and should take about 30-40 minutes. Enjoy the natural scenery and keep an eye out for wildlife along the way!
