Walking
From the Gettysburg Visitor Center, head northwest on Taneytown Road towards the intersection with Steinwehr Avenue. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Baltimore Street. Turn left onto Baltimore Street. Follow Baltimore Street as it curves to the right and becomes West Confederate Avenue. Continue on West Confederate Avenue for about 1 mile, where you'll come upon the entrance to Gettysburg National Military Park. Once inside the park, follow the signs for Spangler's Spring, which is located along the road. The spring is situated at Colgrove Avenue, just a short walk from the main path.

Biking
Rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Gettysburg. Start from the Gettysburg Visitor Center and head northwest on Taneytown Road. Continue on Taneytown Road until you reach the intersection with Baltimore Street. Turn left onto Baltimore Street and then take a right onto West Confederate Avenue. Follow West Confederate Avenue for approximately 1 mile. You will see signs for Spangler's Spring as you approach the area. The spring is located at Colgrove Avenue; you can easily park your bike and take a short walk to the spring.
