Walking
If you are starting from the Gettysburg National Military Park Visitor Center, exit the center and head east on Taneytown Road. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Baltimore Street. Turn left onto Baltimore Street and continue for another 0.2 miles. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Steinwehr Avenue. Walk about 0.3 miles and you will see the New York Monument on your left in the park.

From the Gettysburg town square, catch the Adams County Transit bus that goes towards the Gettysburg National Military Park (Route 1). Get off at the stop nearest to the Visitor Center. From there, follow the walking directions given above to reach the New York Monument.

If you have access to a bike, you can rent one from a local shop in Gettysburg. Start at the town square and head south on Baltimore Street. Continue straight for about 0.7 miles until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Steinwehr Avenue. The New York Monument will be on your left after a short ride.
