To reach the State Capitol East Wing from Hershey, start at the Hershey Park Transit Center. Take the Capital Area Transit (CAT) Route 7 bus heading towards Harrisburg. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the 3rd & State stop in Harrisburg. From there, walk east on State Street for about 5 minutes until you reach Commonwealth Avenue. The State Capitol East Wing will be on your left.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Hershey. From the center of Hershey, head southeast on Chocolate Avenue. Continue onto Route 743 South. Follow the bike lanes along the route for about 8 miles until you reach Harrisburg. Once you arrive in Harrisburg, navigate to Commonwealth Avenue where the State Capitol East Wing is located. Make sure to follow all local biking regulations and be aware of traffic.

Walking is also an option, although it will take considerable time. Start from the Hershey’s Chocolate World and head southwest on Hersheypark Drive towards the Hersheypark entrance. Continue on to Route 422 West. Once you reach Harrisburg, follow the pedestrian pathways leading to the downtown area. After approximately 4 miles, you will reach State Street. Walk east on State Street until you arrive at Commonwealth Avenue, where the State Capitol East Wing will be located.
