If you're driving to Channel Lighthouse, start from downtown Erie, PA. Take State Street (US-20) heading east. Continue on State Street as it becomes East Bayfront Parkway. Follow the signs for the Bayfront Connector, and then merge onto the I-79 S ramp towards Pittsburgh. Stay on I-79 S for about 2 miles, then take exit 185 for US-20 W toward Lake City. Continue on US-20 W for about 6 miles until you reach the intersection with Lake Erie. Turn right onto Lake Shore Drive and follow it until you reach the lighthouse area. There is no entrance fee for the lighthouse.

To reach Channel Lighthouse using public transportation, start by taking the Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority (EMTA) bus service from downtown Erie. Take the Route 1 bus towards East Erie. Get off at the Bayfront Connector stop. From there, you can either walk along the waterfront (approximately a 30-minute walk) or use a rideshare service to reach the lighthouse. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as service may vary on weekends.
