Follow the signs to the nearest beach, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the entrance. The park is well-marked with signs indicating directions to various attractions.

• Bicycling

  For a more adventurous option, rent a bike from one of the bike rental stations located near the park entrance. Once you have your bike, head down East Bay Drive. You can cycle along the designated bike paths that run parallel to the shoreline. This route will take you to several scenic locations within the park including beaches and viewpoints. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow the park’s cycling rules. Cycling around the park offers a unique perspective and is a great way to cover more ground.

• Public Transportation

  If you are coming from the Erie city center, you can take the local bus service (Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority) to the park. Check the EMTA schedule for the most current routes. The bus will drop you off at the entrance of Presque Isle State Park, and from there, you can walk to your desired destination within the park. A one-way fare is approximately $1.50, and be sure to have exact change or a bus pass.
