Car
If you are driving, start by navigating to Allentown, PA. From Route 22, take the exit for Lehigh Street (Route 145) south. Continue on Lehigh Street until you reach the intersection with Parkway Boulevard. Turn left onto Parkway Boulevard and follow it until you reach the entrance of Lehigh Parkway on your right. Parking is available within the park for free.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, use the LANTA bus service. Check the LANTA website for current routes and schedules. The bus routes 102 and 108 have stops near Lehigh Parkway. If you are coming from downtown Allentown, take Route 102 towards the Lehigh Valley Mall, and get off at the stop near Lehigh Parkway. From there, it is a short walk to the entrance of the park. Be sure to check bus schedules for any fare requirements, which typically cost around $2.00 for a one-way trip.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, Lehigh Parkway is accessible via local bike paths. If you are in central Allentown, bike south on the streets leading towards Lehigh Parkway. Ensure you have a bike map or use a navigation app to find the safest route. There are bike racks available at the park entrance.
Walking
If you are staying nearby, walking to Lehigh Parkway can be a pleasant option. Make your way to Parkway Boulevard and follow it until you reach the park entrance. The path is well-marked and offers a scenic view of the area. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and check the distance before you start; it is approximately a mile from central Allentown.
