    If you are driving from Lehigh Valley to Independence Hall in Philadelphia, take I-476 S (the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike) toward Philadelphia. Merge onto I-76 E toward Philadelphia. Continue on I-76 E for about 20 miles. Take exit 344A toward 7th St. Merge onto S 7th St and continue straight for about half a mile. Turn right onto Chestnut St, and Independence Hall will be on your right at 520 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19106. Be aware that parking in the area may cost around $10 to $30 depending on the lot.

  • Public Transportation (Train)

    To reach Independence Hall via public transport, take the SEPTA Regional Rail from any station in Lehigh Valley (such as Allentown or Bethlehem) to Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station. The fare is approximately $8. Upon arrival at 30th Street Station, transfer to the Market-Frankford Line (blue line) toward Frankford. Get off at 15th Street Station (City Hall). From there, walk east on Market St for about 8 minutes until you reach Chestnut St. Turn right, and Independence Hall will be on your left at 520 Chestnut St.
