    If you are starting from the Independence Visitor Center, head east on Market Street towards 6th Street. Turn left onto 6th Street and walk north until you reach Chestnut Street. Turn right onto Chestnut Street, and continue walking until you reach 510-520 Chestnut Street, where the Washington Statue is located.

    You can take the SEPTA bus route 17 from the nearest stop at 6th and Market Streets. Board the bus heading towards the 69th Street Terminal. Get off at the stop for 5th and Chestnut Streets.
