Public Transportation - Bus
From downtown Philadelphia, take the SEPTA bus route 1 from 69th Street Terminal towards the Brookhaven area. After about 30 minutes, get off at the stop near the I-295 interchange. The Delaware Memorial Bridge is approximately a 15-minute walk from there. Head southwest on US-40, following the signs to the bridge.
Public Transportation - Train
Take the SEPTA Regional Rail from any of the major stations in Philadelphia (like 30th Street Station) heading towards Wilmington. Get off at the Wilmington station. From there, you can take a local bus (DART First State bus #13) that goes towards the Delaware Memorial Bridge. It is about a 15-minute ride. Get off at the nearest stop and walk about 10 minutes to reach the bridge.
Walking
If you are already near the riverfront in Wilmington, you can walk towards the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Head along the riverwalk towards the south, following signs for US-40. The walk will take approximately 40 minutes but provides a scenic route along the river.
